| CTET Primary Level (Class I to V): Eligibility with Code December 2024 |
| Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. |
| CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII): Eligibility with Code December 2024 |
| Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility criteria: Graduation and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.); Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time; Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.); Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.; Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. (Special Education). Additionally, any candidate having qualified the B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in the TET/CTET. As per the existing TET guidelines circulated via the NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person pursuing any of the teacher education courses recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010, is also eligible to appear in the TET/CTET. Furthermore, candidates with Post-Graduation and a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade who have passed or are appearing in a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program are also eligible. |
